It's Hilarious That Anakin Is a Threat. Keep Pushing and You May Feel a Disturbance in the Force

The experts are worried about a space wizard. @LeadingReport posted, "Experts warn Anakin Skywalker is increasingly being used as a symbol of right-wing extremısm." @MorseReport said the same thing a few days earlier: "🚨ALERT: Experts are concerned that Anakin Skywalker is becoming a symbol of right-wing extremism." Neither post named a researcher or linked a study. Axios and WIRED still covered the meme wave like it was a serious cultural emergency.

X treated it like a joke, because it is a joke. @AetiusRF put the warning in Padmé's mouth: "Anakin. Experts are concerned you're becoming a symbol of right wing extremism." @ArchitectOracle wrote, "Anakin, the Jedi have classified wanting a wife and children as far-right extremism." Elon Musk shared an alternate ending of Anakin with his family and said, "This is what they stole from us". Critics like @JulienHoez wrote that the far right, "with their complete and utter lack of media literacy, are now trying to turn Anakin Skywalker (?) into a far-right idol," which at least remembers how the story ends.

Here is the hilarious part. Anakin Skywalker is a fictional Jedi who becomes Darth Vader. He is not running for office. He is not recruiting your kids at the mall. If your threat assessment starts with Hayden Christensen in a robe, you have lost the plot. Bible believing Christians can laugh at that without apology.

Here is the serious part. If the left keeps pushing, there may be a disturbance in the Force. When every normal instinct gets stamped "extremism," some men stop listening to the stamp. Want a wife and children. Want borders. Want a country that does not hate its own sons. Want strength instead of soft sermons about feelings. Call all of that dangerous long enough, and you do not make radicals disappear. You help make them. "Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?" (Proverbs 6:27).

That does not mean Christians should baptize Anakin, Vader, or any political meme as a savior. Anakin fell. He believed lies, chose the dark side, and became a tyrant. If your answer to cultural rot is a Sith Lord with a flag cape, you are still looking in the wrong direction. "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Proverbs 14:12).

The King we should all be looking for is Jesus Christ. Not a meme. Not a party. Not a fallen Jedi. "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ" (Titus 2:13). "For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us" (Isaiah 33:22). Laugh at the panic. Reject racism and bloodlust. And point restless men to the coming King.
